Marlin model 1895 in .45-70 caliber. Bore is very good. Action works perfectly. Barrel has 92-94% blue beginning to dull somewhat. Magazine tube has a light patina. Wood is good plus with no cracks or chips. Barrel is marked “Special Smokeless Steel”. We have seen this on model 1893 Marlins but not on 1895. Possibly a scarce marking!
