Late 19th century Mexican cavalry saber. Ricasso is marked R.M. reverse side of ricasso is marked R&B under two squirrels. Scabbard has been cleaned. Approximately 75% of the leather wrap remains. Good overall condition. It is typical to find Mexican gear in this condition, due to actual field use.

Italian 18th Century Schiavona. Basket hilt has Mexican markings. Hilt and grip are steel. Blade is engraved with eagles and fancy scroll work. Blade is 37” and overall length is 43½”. A desirable piece!

Mexican Cutlass. Manufactured approximately 1870-1880 for the Army of Mexico. Blade is marked “A.C. Mexico” for A. Colubuzier, a supplier of military items to the army. The reverse is marked “R.M.” with liberty cap, which stands for “Republica Mexico”.

Mexican sabre, possibly colonial period in almost relic condition. Recovered from excavation at Old Town Albuquerque New Mexico. Sword was cracked in the middle and has a very neat old spice repair of the period. Neat piece of history!
