Late 19th century Mexican cavalry saber. Ricasso is marked R.M. reverse side of ricasso is marked R&B under two squirrels. Scabbard has been cleaned. Approximately 75% of the leather wrap remains. Good overall condition. It is typical to find Mexican gear in this condition, due to actual field use.

Mexican Cutlass. Manufactured approximately 1870-1880 for the Army of Mexico. Blade is marked “A.C. Mexico” for A. Colubuzier, a supplier of military items to the army. The reverse is marked “R.M.” with liberty cap, which stands for “Republica Mexico”.

Mexican sabre, possibly colonial period in almost relic condition. Recovered from excavation at Old Town Albuquerque New Mexico. Sword was cracked in the middle and has a very neat old spice repair of the period. Neat piece of history!
