Winchester 1873 .22 Short (W9597)

Made in 1892. Very fine example of a 22 short caliber Winchester 1873. Most of these guns were used very hard. This gun still has a lot of the original finish, rating at 90%. Wood is very fine. Action works perfectly. Bore is very good for one of these. This bore has strong rifling with some light pitting. Most of the 22 caliber Winchester 1873s have bores resembling sewer pipes. Great example of one of these guns which was the rarest caliber in the 1873 series.
