Winchester 1873 38-40 caliber rifle (W9589)
Winchester 1873 38-40 caliber rifle. Made in 1890. Very fine gun with 85% of the original blue. The barrel has most of the blue and there is a little more of the blue turning to a bluish brown patina on the frame, which is very common. Wood is excellent. Bore is for the most part bright and shiny, but does have some spots of deep pitting about midway down the barrel on the upper side of the riffling. Very fine Winchester 1873!
