German or Austrian Elliptical Barrel Blunderbuss. Circa 1750 we estimate. Gun has no makers name or proofs. Barrel length is 21 ¾”. Overall length is 36 ½”. Width of the elliptical is 1 ¾”. This is a solid gun that shows genuine use. The stock has numerous dents and dings but no structural damage. The stock has floral carving on the left side that matches the theme of the brass sideplate. Action works perfectly. Barrel has some exterior light stains but no pitting.
