Engraved Warner Carbine (AL4240)

Engraved Warner carbine. Very interesting gun! This is a Warner Civil War carbine that was made its way over from England and was presumably engraved for the commercial market. The action was nickel plated and still retains 92-93% of the original finish. The barrel is turning to a light gray patina. The wood is very good and has been checkered. In the book on Warner carbines it says, several of these guns were sold to the British market and shows them checkered exactly the same as this one. Very fancy example of a Warner!
