German Jaeger Rifle with Spring Boar Spear. Most unusual! Caliber is approximately .75. The spring opening boar spear is 16” and is triangular shape. Barrel length is 30” and overall length is 46” (spear not included in measurement). Flintlock with “dog” safety (doglock) feature. Lock has a brass pan. Lock, cock, breech plug tang and brass parts are engraved. Rear sight is a three leaf folder. No makers name but probably German. This is an impressive and handsome boar rifle and spring spear combination, in fine condition.
