Whitney-Kennedy Lever Action Sporting Rifle (AL5170)

Whitney-Kennedy lever action sporting rifle. The overall length is approximately 41¼”. The 22” Octagon .44 caliber centerfire (.44-40). Barrel has a good bore with light pitting. All metal is a smooth even brown patina. The stock is very good with light storage dents and no chips or cracks. The barrel is marked Whitneyville Armory, CT, U.S.A. Kennedy. This rifle features the desirable half magazine and S-lever. The action functions correctly. These rifles were made circa 1879-1886. This would fit a lever action, western, or Whitney collection. Has Beech combination front sight They are not seen very often today.
