Schuetzen Rifle By Otto Wunhammer 8.15X46R (AL6045)

Very fine Schuetzen chambered in the traditional cartridge of target shooters in Germany. The bore is excellent with sharp rifling. The action works fine and we have test fired it. Front and rear barrel sights are fine tuned for windage and elevation. The receiver rear tang has a W. Haunz large diopter with seven adjustment posts on the base. The frame is engraved with traditional German floral and leaf motifs. The sides of the frame feature an older man smoking a long stem pipe and wearing the coat and tie of a hunter. He is wearing a tilted hat. The reverse side of the frame is a Frauline wearing a verndal and a stylish hat. The stocks are very well carved in deep floral motifs with the right side of the butt stock showing a stag amidst a profusion of deep floral carvings. The left side of the butt stock is a wild boar with similar carvings as on the right side. The forend is carved en suite with the butt stock carvings. The rifle has 98% of its' blue. The barrel is fluted and 28". The triggers are adjustable double set. Overall a very fine Schuetzen in a very desirable caliber with high quality wood and metal work. Overall length is 46" over a Schuetzen butt plate.
