East India Company Pattern 1858 Cavalry Service Pistol (AH6297)

Smoothbore is .65 caliber, also known as "carbine bore". (The same projectiles could be used in carbines for cavalry and pistols as well.) The lock is marked Birmingham 1869 and the tail of the lock bears the crown over EIC and broad arrow. This is a percussion pistol and the action functions perfectly. Barrel is 8" and overall length is 13". Pistol has a captive ramrod. A fine pistol.
