Pre-war Colt Woodsman Sport Model (C16931)

This boxed circa 1940 Colt Woodsman Sport Model has the desirable adjustable front sight and is in the condition collectors like to see. The 4.5" barrel has an excellent bore with bright, strong rifling. The gun retains approx. 99% of its original blue.  The grips are fine with a small chip on the lower right front of the right grip. The correct magazine is present. The action functions correctly. The non-original (to the gun) Colt box (for a fixed front sight model) is fair with a detached top and missing top front face. A correct instruction pamphlet, shooting suggestion fold-out, and ammunition caution note are in the box. It would be difficult to improve on this fine pre-war Woodsman.
