Very Fine Pair of LeFacheaux Double Barrel Pistols W/ Flip Bayonets (AH6171)
NSN. Made circa 1850s. 50 caliber with 6” barrel. These are interesting pair of breech loading percussion pistols that also has a flip bayonet. “Lefaucheux/ A Paris” is inlaid in gold on both locks and the barrels are inlaid “Lefaucheux/ BtE A Paris” The locks, swivel action and hammers are all nicely engraved. The barrels have approximately 30% of the original brown finish. Wood is excellent and nicely figured in the stocks and finished with carved ebony butt caps. These are very unique pair of Lefacheaux pistols that we have never seen before.
