Miniature Carcano "Moschetto Balilla" non-gun Consignment (MIS3304)

This "Moschetto Balilla" child's blank-fire only non-gun was officially designated "Moschetto Regolomentare Ballila Modelo 1891 (Child's Regulation Carbine Model 1891) & was made in 1931 by Fabbrica Nazonale d'Armi ("National Army Factory" or "FNA") in Brescia. It is a miniaturized version of the Model 1891 Carcano carbine designed to fire 6mm blanks only - not live ammunition - so it was a training device for the Italian Fascist Youth training organization known as Opera Nazionale Balilla (ONB) that existed from 1926-1937. It has a 30-inch overall length, a 14-inch rifled barrel & a 10.5-inch folding bayonet. Overall condition is excellent with original factory finish on the metallic parts & wood that shows almost no handling wear. Consignment
