Colt Single Action Army .45 LC (C10714)

Colt Single Action Army .45 LC caliber revolver. Made in 1876 with 7½” barrel. Gun has about 50% of the nickel finish. This gun letters blue. Many of the big retailers would buy their guns blue and nickel them in the house because it was cheaper than buying them nickel from Colt. This is what happened to this gun and the nickel is definitely period. Grips show natural wear and are numbered to the gun. This gun letters to Kittredge in Ohio indicating a Western shipment. Kittredge was a distributor and when the guns went to Ohio, they typically were sold to smaller stores in Western territories and states. Very colorful piece!
