Wm Read & Son Boston. Very heavy barrel target rifle. Measures 1 7/16" diameter. Has double set triggers. Gun weighs 16 lbs. G.B. Fogg Manchester New Hampshire cast steel on barrel. Lock is retailed marked. Barrel is very sharp and shows most of its original finish that is thinning to a blue-brown patina. Very fine New England target rifle. Wood is very good with pewter forend cap. All other furniture is brass. Approximately 42 caliber.
