Sharps Conversion Sporting Rifle. .45-70 caliber. This gun was originally a carbine that was converted Post Civil War for sporting use with a factory Sharps barrel. Barrel is 24” and has a very good bore. This gun is a little bit more unusual as it has the saddle ring still present. Most of these guns saw hard Western use. This gun has a grayish patina but still remains sharp with good markings. Very good Western sporting rifle!
