Beautiful Pair of Percussion Pistols by Aury of St. Etienne. He later was the chief in charge of the military service at Chattelleraut Arsenal. Barrels are 4”. Caliber approximately .45 caliber. Breech plugs numbered 1 and 2. Guns are finished in French gray and barrels are Damascus. Lock and trigger guard are engraved. Guns are in excellent condition. Stocks are nicely figured walnut. Note: Aury worked from 1831-1832 as controller at Chattelleraut. He was later (1833) in St. Etienne and said to have made guns for the Bourgeois. He received the gold medal twice for the world exposition in London and Paris.
