Marlin Firearms 39 .22 S L LR caliber rifle. Rare S Prefix Model. Produced in the 1920s, the S denotes superior workmanship and fine finish. The barrel has been expertly shortened to 20” long. The butt stock has been slightly shorted as well and has a repair to the toe. The buttplate is a replacement. Excellent bore and very good wood with minor dents and scratches. About 95% finish. A very nice looking rifle for shooting or collecting!
