Winchester 1866 .44-40 (AW44)

Winchester 1866 .44-40 caliber rifle. Made in 1882. Has 24” barrel. Barrel is an excellent refinish and appears to be off a Winchester 1873. Small parts have been nickel plated. Frame has mellow dark patina. On both sides of frame are circular markings that look similar to the mark of the Republic of Mexico, but we do not believe it is that mark and are not sure what this mark displays. Wood is very good as refinished. Very attractive gun!
