Scandinavian Dog Lock Blunderbuss. Barrel length is 14½” and overall length is 30½”. Gun is unmarked. Lock works perfectly. Barrel is a smaller diameter for the last 2” at the breech end, possibly to create a smaller chamber for powder! Barrel is gray-brown patina with some scattered pits. Stock is solid. Gun rates good plus to very good. Unusual Blunderbuss.

D.H. Hilliard Under-Hammer Percussion .41 caliber rifle. Hilliard was a well-known maker in Cornish, New Hampshire. Under-Hammer rifles are usually made in New Hampshire and Vermont. Barrel length is 26½” and has a fine light brown finish that is partly original finish and has some light patina. Overall this rifle has a beautiful appearance.

This is an impressive large gun that any English mail coach driver would be confident to have!
