Made circa 1770. 50 Caliber with a 3 ½” barrel. This is a unique left handed pocket pistol that was originally mad in Flintlock and now has been converted to percussion. The barrel is beautifully engraved and inlaid in Gold. The Wood has been nicely carved around the barrel tang. The lock is marked “DUVAL A NANTES” Action works perfectly.

Barrel length 10”. This was the last of the single shot muzzle loading pistols issued. Approximately 14,000 were made (along with the 1858 Pattern Pistols) and were issued to lancers and troop sergeant majors of cavalry units. Lock has crown at the tail and marked “Tower 1858”. The larger bore guns are hard to find.
