Sharps New Model 1863 carbine with  22" six groove barrel in .52 caliber in over all good condition. Serial number is 96361. Metal has a mottled grey patina. Wood has a handsome cartouche with handling and usage wear. Bore is good with frosting in the grooves. The initials "MM" are carved on the right side of the butt-stock. This is a great example of a Sharps Civil War carbine.
